USB Type C comes in a reversible small form factor with high durability of 10,000 mating cycles. Type C handles 10 Gbps data, 100 Watts of bi-directional power, 5A of current and provides improved EMI/RFI shielding. Type C has backward software compatibility with USB 2.0 & 3.0 and physical compatibilty with USB 2.0 & 3.0 cables (adaptors required).
MPSI provides USB Type C equivalents for manufacturers such as Amphenol, FCI, Hirose, Kycon, Molex, TE etc.
USB Type C Connectors are available in USB 2.0, 3.0 & 3.1.
Specific options include surface mount, through hole and hybrid variants in a number of orientations including PCB vertical, horizontal 90° and top and mid-mount. Our variants include single port USB, multi-port USB and combined USB and RJ Modular Jack connectors. MPSI USB Type C connectors are available with different insulator materials (such as PBT, LCP etc), shell materials, contact plating and packaging options.
